QUISTEL has been marketed as 'the revolution in dog grooming' and many top exhibitors, breeders and
ordinary dog owners have claimed near miraculous results. So why has Quistel made such a significant
impact in little more than a single year?
DOG WORLD spoke to Tracey Peake, the pharmacist and driving force behind the company.
Tracey
bought Quistel in 2006 and has since dramatically revitalised and expanded the company.
DW: What inspired you to buy Quistel?
TP: I had known Quistel for a number of years. I loved the product range and always used the shampoos,
conditioners and, more recently, the spray lotions as everyday products on my own dogs.
But the most important factor in buying Quistel was the massive growth in user feedback about how
amazing the Quistel products are in helping animals to naturally resist many everyday skin and coat
problems - particularly in breeds which are prone to dry and flaky skin, hair loss, hot spots and otherwise
unexplained sores and rashes.
And, even back then, there were a dozen or so pioneering vets advising and
providing Quistel as an effective alternative to some prescription solutions.
DW: What would you say is the most important factor in the Quistel success?
TP: Because it does everything 'it says on the tin' - Quistel is brilliant for everyday and 'show' grooming
radiance and lustre while providing the most advanced and constant reinforcement of a dog's natural
resistance, rejuvenation and revitalisation of its skin, coat and hair.
As a bonus the Quistel grooming range
is natural and organic.
DW: Why do reports suggest Quistel appears to work at least as well if not better than some
pharmaceutical preparations?
TP: That really depends on the circumstances.
Proper use of Quistel's grooming products greatly increases
the natural capacity of the skin to do its job under most circumstances.
Quistel's main ingredient is Arnica, which causes expansion of the tiny capillaries in the skin. This increased
blood flow excites the skin into naturally repairing, maintaining and protecting more vigorously.
Quistel is not itself a 'cure'.
Quistel provokes and stimulates the natural processes while most pharmaceuticals
are very condition-specific. In many cases specific conditions are the result of the skin having a generally
reduced maintenance and repair capability.
DW: So when and how would you recommend using Quistel?
TP: Assuming that your dog has a regular diet with, ideally, Quistel's Omega-3 food supplement and it is
regularly groomed using Quistel products then, should an unusual condition develop, you will know that
something is wrong.
As always, if there are any signs of distress or should any problem persist you must seek veterinary advice.
Otherwise you should use the Quistel Spray Lotion as often as needed on the affected area.
Another
benefit from all the range and the Spray Lotion in particular is that it helps control 'doggy' odour which
leaves both bedding and pooch smelling wonderful.
